Lincoln Center/Damrosch Bandshell

Built by Eggers & Higgins, Damrosch Bandshell at Lincoln Center opened May 22, 1969. Located at the southwest corner of the Lincoln Center plaza (center-left in the above graphic), at 62nd Street near Amsterdam Avenue, the Bandshell hosted Wordless Music’s free world premiere of Rhys Chatham’s “A Crimson Grail” for 200 electric guitars on August 8, 2009, co-presented with Lincoln Center Out of Doors.
